Movie Synopsis
Dre Parker (Jaden Smith) is a young boy who moves from Detroit to Beijing with his mother Sherry (Taraji P. Henson) after she gets a job transfer. He struggles to adjust to his new life and culture, and makes an enemy of Cheng (Zhenwei Wang), a bully who is the best kung fu student at his school. Dre also develops a crush on Meiying (Wenwen Han), a violinist who befriends him.

One day, Dre gets beaten up by Cheng and his friends, but he is saved by Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), the maintenance man of his apartment building.
